Company | About Newly Weds Foods

A Heritage of Innovation. A Future Built Around Customer Success.

Newly Weds Foods has grown from a single breakthrough product into a global food ingredient company built around customized solutions, technical depth, culinary creativity, and customer partnership. Today, the company supports food manufacturers and foodservice brands with the people, capabilities, and global reach needed to help products succeed in market and in process.

More Than a Company Story—A Partner Story

Newly Weds Foods is more than a corporate story. It is a partner story built on decades of innovation, a customer-first mindset, and real support systems designed around the needs of food manufacturers and foodservice brands.

From One Breakthrough Product to a Global Ingredient Partner

Newly Weds Foods traces its roots to 1932, when founder Paul M. Angell developed a batter technology that allowed sheet cake to roll without cracking. Combined with vanilla ice cream, it became the original ice cream cake roll—described as “the perfect marriage of ice cream and cake,” which inspired the company’s name. For roughly the next two decades, that product remained the company’s core business and set the stage for future innovation.

Built to Help Customers Create Better Products

Today, Newly Weds Foods is a global supplier of customized breaders, batters, seasonings, sauces, and functional ingredients serving both the food processing and foodservice industries.
