Taste Tech University (TTU) is a training program that Newly Weds Foods has been conducting for the past 15 years. Four times per annum(two sessions on Batter/Breadings and two sessions on Seasonings) groups made up of R&D, Culinary, Marketing, Purchasing and other disciplines from our customers come to either the Chicago (Batter/Breading) or Memphis (Seasoning) facilities for a 2.5 day educational course on the finer points of ingredients related to these subjects. As an industry leader, Newly Weds Foods sees it as a responsibility to help train and provide insight to those making significant contributions to value added food products.
Last week a Seasoning TTU was held at our facility near Memphis (Horn Lake, MS.) As part of the program, participants have dinners at local establishments to get a taste of local foods/flavors. They are also treated to a luncheon on day two created by Newly Weds Foods Culinary. This session’s lunch theme was “Smoke on the Farm”, putting a focus on smoke as an emerging trend by incorporating it into many of the featured lunch items that had been sourced from local farms.
Below is the entire menu. To experience Newly Weds’ Culinary capabilities like this and all Taste Tech University has to offer, ask your salesperson to get you on the list for the specific session of interest.
