Newly Weds® Foods' IsoStat™ Products Group supports our portfolio of food safety products and functional ingredients. This internal team of food safety product experts was established to reflect our level of dedication to this high-profile and very important product arena. Our portfolio currently includes:
NatureGuard™
NatureGuard™ addresses lipid oxidation in a wide range of fat-containing foods and edible oils to extend shelf-life, reduce off-flavor/odor formation, retard discoloration and fading of pigments as well as inhibit development of that "warmed over flavor" often attributed to pre-cooked products. NatureGuard™ is manufactured utilizing our patented Supercritical Fluid Extraction process where carbon dioxide is used instead of organic solvents to extract the functional elements. The procedure provides a cleaner and more precise removal of undesirable components for more consistent quality.
Ional™ Line
Ional™ is designed to improve marinade/brine performance in muscle protein systems. Ional Plus provides extended shelf life to raw and fully cooked proteins, while Ional LC inhibits the growth of food borne pathogens in/on ready-to-eat meats. All Ional products are in a dry/granular form for easy incorporation in marinades, brines or seasoning blends. They stabilize the color of fresh marinated meats plus increase the ionic strength of marinades and brine systems for improved water holding capabilities and related finished product attributes.
Myosol™ Line
Myosol™ liquid phosphates are instantaneously reactive and readily soluble in cold water. They do not require enzymatic breakdown to be functional as other phosphates do. Myosol™ brand phosphates increase marinade retention, meat tenderness and overall yield while providing an opportunity to reduce the sodium content of processed meats, fish and poultry. Myosol is potassium based and contributes no sodium to the finished product.
AdvanStat™ Blends
The IsoStat™ Products Group has developed these special combinations of products from within our food safety product portfolio to maximize antimicrobial and antioxidant benefits. They too can be customized to meet a customer's specific functional needs.
Functional Mustard
Another natural product exhibiting antioxidant properties, this surprisingly mild tasting, economical ingredient makes an outstanding emulsifying agent. It also adds protein and increases yield in processed meats.
