Newly Weds Foods’ 15th manufacturing facility in North America opened in Mt. Pleasant, Texas just a little over one year ago. This 200,000 sq.ft. plant has 100 employees and is in full swing, manufacturing Japanese Style Bread Crumb, Sheeted Breaders and Batters as well as Blending. This site was selected for its proximity to our customers as well as for its central location in the country. Most ingredients can be delivered in, and most shipping destinations can be reached within 2 days. It also opens up some potential export opportunities to Mexico and South America.
Like most Newly Weds Foods’ locations, Mt. Pleasant has its own on-site R&D lab in order to quickly meet the formulating needs of our customers. It also features a Training Facility that proved large enough to accommodate 20 customer scientists for a recent session on coating systems conducted by our in-house experts. This facility has passed all independent and customer audits, scoring a Superior 925 rating from AIB. Mt. Pleasant may be our newest facility but it is already operating at the same high level as our other plants.
